Frequently Asked Questions
Will I be expected to pay out-of-pocket for my first visit?
Patients with dental insurance may be required to make a payment such as a co-payment, deductible, or for any services not covered by the insurance plan. We will make every effort to have such information available to you by the time you complete your exam.
What if my insurance does not pay for my dental services?
If your insurance does not pay for the treatment rendered, the balance will be your responsibility. It is important that patients provide us with accurate insurance information in order for us to bill them. If your insurance company requests proof of treatment rendered we will gladly provide x-rays and/or a written report explaining the reason for treatment.
How long does it take for my insurance carrier to pay the claim?
The time for dental claims to be processed varies by insurance carrier. In most states, laws have been placed requiring insurance carriers to pay claims within a time period that ranges between 15-60 days. At First Point Dental, we work attentively to get your claim processed in a timely manner; however we may contact you for any additional information necessary to get the claims
