Services Provided by Dr. Trent Jones, the Best Dental Expert in Illinois:

People go for general dentists to receive multiple common dental services under a single roof at First Point Dental. These includes:

  • Regular Dental Check-ups and Professional Teeth Cleaning– It is always recommended to visit a general dentist bi-annually (i.e. after every 6 months) to keep your mouth healthy. Regardless of how well people maintain their oral hygiene, still they must head to a general dentist as an opportunity to discuss dental concerns with a dentist, evaluate their oral health status, and undergo protective and restorative treatments as required. This includes removal of stubborn dental plaque or tartar build-up and spotting of serious dental issues (including oral cancers) in their early stages by dental X-rays. The popular preventive treatments performed by dentists include fluoride treatments and dental sealants in patients who are at risk of dental issues like gum disease and tooth decay.
  • Restorative Treatments- During the same routine dental check-ups, if the patient is diagnosed with lost teeth, discolored or stained tooth, severely decayed/injured tooth, general dentists can fix them by restorative dental treatments like dental crowns, veneers, and bridges.
  • Cosmetic Procedures- This includes professional teeth whitening with bleaching agents like hydrogen peroxide or the application of composite bonding (tooth-colored resin materials) for reshaping teeth or improving their color.
  • Orthodontics- General dentists can even address the diagnosis, prevention, interception, guidance, and treatment of bite issues or jaw irregularities. They can help with the straightening of the teeth by using dental braces or Invisalign (a clear form of braces).

Having an appointment with a general dentist helps in building strong relationships between the patients and doctors and the oral hygiene staff for future dental appointments.
